“I’m not bothered who my hero is, as long as my role is good in the film. In Malayalam, I have done roles opposite Prithviraj and Narain when they were rank newcomers, so what’s wrong in doing films with newcomers as heroes in Tamil and Telugu?” says Meera Jasmine. About her weight issue, the actress says: “I know that I have put on weight.It was during the song shoot in Australia that I bloated up as the climate did not agree with me, and affected my body.” The National award winning actress concludes by saying: “Age is not the criteria; I will gladly work with older heroes if the script and my role are meaty.” She made it clear that she has no qualms of acting opposite Vijaykanth, a senior hero and is also open to doing roles with other senior actors in future as long as “the role is meaningful”.
