The makers of reigning actor Prabhas' ongoing Ek Niranjan, directed by Puri Jagannath, have built a very costly set in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad at a whopping cost of two crores. According to sources, producer Aditya Ram has constructed the set with such a huge budget as the major part of the film will be shot there. Marking the Telugu debut of Bollywood beauty Kangna Ranaut, this big budget film has music by Mani Sharma. After playing a terrifying ghost in Arundhathi, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood dons yet another negative role in Ek Niranjan, touted to be an out-and-out commercial movie that gives equal importance to romance, action, fun and emotion. Ek Niranjan will complete production in a single schedule that continues till July. Also in the cast are Mukul Dev, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam, Posani Krishna Murali, Ali and Sunil. Cinematography is by Shyam K. Naidu; editing is by M.R. Varma; art is by Chinna.

London:Superstar Aamir Khan is all set to team up with Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet in an international film based on Saadat Hasan Manto’s famous partition story Toba Tek Singh, Femalefirst reported.The pair will star in the film, which is based on Manto’s take on the madness of partition in 1947. The story depicts the irony of the situation through the lunatics in a mental asylum in 1947.Aamir is said to have been impressed with the script and will play the character of a mentally retarded person in the asylum.If the actor agrees to work in the film, it would be his second movie on the subject. He had earlier starred in Deepa Mehta’s Earth-1947, which was an adaptation of Bapsi Sidhawa’s novel Ice Candyman.The film will be directed by India-born filmmaker Pan Nalin, who has earlier directed highly acclaimed film SamsaraNalin hopes to rope in Winslet for the project but if she rejects it, he will approach Rachel Weisz to play the role of Dr Sophie in the film, the website said."Either Kate or Rachel will be doing my film. I will be meeting both of them after my Cannes trip to finalise the casting. Either of them will be able to do justice to this marvelous story," Nalin said.

The actor, who turned 27 on Wednesday, had to cancel all film shoots following a car accident near Suryapet in Nalgonda on March 27 while returning from an election campaign.Sources close to the actor said Junior NTR is physically fit for film shoots, he may not perform dances for another two weeks on medical advice.Junior NTR will first shoot for V.V. Vinayak’s untitled film which was stopped due to his accident.“There are three films on the floor at present including a film titled MLA directed by Puri Jagannath,” said an aide.

Kavya’s Diary, director Karuna Prakash’s latest film starring Charmi, Manjula and Shashank in the lead roles, is all set to grace theatres on June 5. Ravi Teja belongs to the cadre of the people who worked hard in coming up the success ladder. Ravi Teja spent most of his child in North India. His father was a pharmacist and his mother, an engineer with Tata Industries.. Due to his job nature, there was frequent change in the places he lived. RaviTeja was brought up and educated in the north - Delhi, Bhopal, Jaipur and Bombay. Later on, he moved along with his family to Vijayawada and joined Siddharatha degree college.
His interest in films has brought him into the film industry. He worked as an assitant director in the beginning. Prathibandh, Aaj Ka goondaraj and Criminal are few of the films that he played the role of an assistant director.His friend Y.V.S Chowdary helped him to obtain some offers from Bollywood as a script writer. Puri Jagannath, who is desperately looking to establish himself in the industry, after the failure of 'Bachi', paired up with Ravi Teja to deliver Itlu Sravani Subramanyam.
