 City Taskforce of East Zone arrested actress Seema (Jayalakshmi), her mother and two other Mumbai girls, for allegedly running a brothel house. The Mumbai settled actress Adi Lakshmi’s daughter Seema forayed into films with 'Sakutumba Saparivara Samethamga' being her first. Later, she did films like 'Hero' (Prabhudeva), 'Kumkuma' (SivaBalaji), 'Bhaghyalakshmi Bumper Draw' (Rajendra Prasad), Ayudham, Adhipati and Madhumasam. According to DCP Wesley, Adi Lakshmi misled her daughter Seema in to prostitution for earning more money. She also hired two girls Samreen aged 18 and Roshni aged 20 from a whorehouse in Mumbai and indulged them in the business. She promised to pay them 30,000 rupees per week and was collecting ten to twenty thousand rupees per head. The house was running illegally so far until the news reached the police. On getting the information, Inspector Ravikumar and Sub-inspectors Prasanna kumar and Ramesh Reddy raided the apartment and arrested Adi Lakshmi, actress Seema and the two girls from Mumbai. They are now being held in custody for further investigation. |
