Naga Chaitanya’s second film Ye Maya Chesavo(YMC) is all set to hit the marquee on February 26th. Directed by Gowtham Vasudeva Menon, the flick has music by Oscar winning music director AR Rahman. The film’s audio got released recently to a good response in the market. On this occasion, the young hero speaks to the film media and speaks about YMC and priorities in the industry.

What kind of role you play in YMC?
I play Karthik, an engineer, who works as an assistant director in the film industry. That time, I come across the heroine. Later, it is for the audience to watch the developments on the screen. But, mine is definitely a role that would rake up a sea of interest in the industry. Your comments on Gowtham’s direction and Rahman’s music?
It’s like a dream come true. Impossible made possible. I am a small guy to speak about Rahman, while Gowtham Menon is a rare kind of a technician, who believes in giving freedom to the artistes. He also gives top priority to the technical standards.

Your grandpa (ANR) and dad (Nag) did so many love stories. What is the difference between YMC and those?
There is nothing like a new thing in a love story. Love is the same forever. It is only the treatment of the perennial subject that differs from director to director. The audience will feel the freshness in the subject. The characterization would be natural.

Your dad compared YMC with his blockbuster Geetanjali. Does it mean, the film would be end up in a tragedy?
No. YMC is not going to end on a tragic note. It will only have the feel of that film.

YMC is a love story? Is there any love in your real life?
Definitely. When I hold the feel of love in real life, then I can show it with more dexterity on the reel life. The personal experience of a character would have its impact on the reel life.

What are the highlights in YMC?
There are no stunts in the film. It is a pure love story. It will have excellent comedy. The character of Krishnudu (Vinayakudu film hero) would continue to be with me and evoke hilarious moments for the audience.

What kind of response the audio got?
When our people heard the songs, first they thought that the numbers were slow with melody. Now, they are reaching the veins of the people like slow poison. There are seven songs in the film. We shot three songs in New York. One song was shot at the studio here (Annapoorna studios.)

How do you feel about your debut film Josh?
The film did not bring us any good results. But, it only gave me the experience. Based on this, I made some changes in my style. I tried to avoid the lapses to repeat in YMC. I am also planning the aspects of dance and stunts in my career.

What about your next film?
I will disclose the details soon. The Help
