'Extremes' Only Save Tollywood Now!!!

Any industry tends to have a phase of transition at one phase and sometimes, it could get revolutionary as well. Perhaps that is what is happening right now in the case of the Telugu film industry. Apparently, the recent trend is suggesting that only ‘extremes’ are producing results at the box office.

To be clear, only those movies with a completely new cast and a very economic budget associating with brand names like Dil Raju, Sekhar Kammula are able to score well at the collection centers. On the other hand, it has to be a big gun like Ramcharan, Allu Arjun or Rana to make sure that there is an impact created.

So, in this process, those who are in between like Sumanth, Varun Sandesh, Nitin, Raja and others are finding tough time to find big takers. The topic of having a medium budget movie with a medium known banner is not working out commercially since the current trend is of these extremes. The film pundits say that this is not a good sign as steady graph can never be maintained at this rate.

Also, the economic graph of the industry would be dwindling because if any of the big budget movies flop, then the impact is going to be high. Similarly, if the new age movie makers don’t click at the box office, then it is as good as their career has ended even before it has started. Thankfully, the average success of such movies has been quite good in the recent past but then it is not the right approach to revive the industry which is already going through losses.

Also, it is sounding a death blow to the other league of actors who will be restricted to that zone forever as part of their careers. It is about time the moviemakers start thinking in different directions to create uniformity and make this a flexible place to create entertainment.
