North America Telugu Society (NATS) in association with FunAsia and Yuva Media presented the “Telugu Cinema Sambaralu?on March 19th 2010. The event was kicked-off with a grand opening ceremony of Cinema Sambaralu with free movies to be screened over the weekend from March 19th to March 21st. The event was kicked off by a cake cutting ceremony on the occasion of Ugaadi 2010. More than 400 people attended the opening ceremony and enjoyed “Adurs?movie with a house full capacity. The Telugu Cinema Sambaralu included six Telugu super hit movies such as Adurs, Magadheera, Bindaas , etc. One major highlight of the festival is “Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari?the mega blockbuster that rocked the film Industry 20 years back. The gathering rekindled the festive spirit and brotherhood among all Telugu NRIs. Parents and kids appreciated the timing of the event as it was held during the spring break holiday weekend giving them the opportunity to come and enjoy the Super hit movies with entire family along with kids. All Telugu speaking people who attended the Cinema Sambaralu appreciated NATS, Yuva Media and FunAsia for brining this unique and wonderful event. All movies were screened at the newly renovated FunAsia theaters in Richardson. Admission to this event was free. |
